I didn't think I would ever be as excited to see a paint color change as I am right now. We live in a two story home with an exposed walk-out basement and my office 'slash' craft space is right as you walk down the stairs. It has the most light of any area downstairs but still doesn't get tons of light plus it\u0026nbsp;felt dark and dingy with a dark burnt orange paint color. Every time I would try to take pictures for my shop or blog they would have a red cast to them and I couldn't always edit it out. Over the past month I have worked to paint, organize and decorate my work space. It is brighter, lighter and a \u003Cstrong\u003Ewhole lot\u003C\/strong\u003E more inspiring. I now enjoy working in my space rather than carrying my work throughout the house trying to find an inspiring or brighter spot.\u0026nbsp;This neutral room with the pops of color and pastel décor have been making my little ole' creative heart\u0026nbsp;explode.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI hope you are ready for an overload of pictures because I couldn't help myself from sharing lots of them! At first I thought it was too white but once I added the other décor to the walls I fell in love. I purchased a canvas drop cloth, cut and sewed it to make it into a curtain to go around the desk. Now I can shove my sewing machine, Silhouette and\u0026nbsp;supply containers\u0026nbsp;underneath the desk. The humidity and heat have been nearly unbearable the past few weeks. I ran to Publix the other day and worked up a sweat going from the car into the store. I feel like I always complain about it this time of year but when it is in the mid 90s, no breeze and a light rain each day making the humidity levels skyrocket I think I am entitled, right? It makes me want to move right back to Illinois no questions asked.\u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cbr\u003EI talk a lot about my husband\u0026#39;s job in law enforcement and how he puts in long strange hours. This summer has been the same so I am proud to say I mastered the grill this year! I am definitely not the nervous or emotional mom - I am 100% the excited mom who is looking to get back into a routine! This summer has been fun and challenging at the same time. Mike\u0026#39;s job has kept him on a crazy schedule often working 7 or more days in a row while I hold down the fort.
