Simple Fall Tablescape with Fragrances of Fall

Hey friends! Over the weekend I finished the Fall decorating and completed my Fall tablescape complete with Fall fragrances. I have converted the inside of our house into a Fall oasis since the Florida temperatures outside are still screaming Summer. I worked a little outside building a headboard this weekend and was sweating within minutes so escaping back indoors was refreshing. As long as I stay indoors where the A/C is kicking I have myself convinced it may be Fall with all of the sights and aromas of fall American Home™ by Yankee Candles® fragrances.

I started my tablescape by gathering a few craft supplies, a pallet board runner, a Bountiful Harvest and Homemade Pumpkin Pie American Home™ by Yankee Candle® fragrances from Walmart and some other decorative items I have gathered through the years. I put everything together to create a cozy, simple feel in our dining and kitchen area. When you go from an empty boring table to a finished tablescape it changes the whole feel of the room.

To add a little extra Fall flare to the candles I created cute little leaf hang tags.

Supplies Needed-

Step 1 - Cut the leaf shapes out from the PDF using scissors or use your Silhouette

Step 2 - Use a hole punch to put a hole in each leaf for the twine to go through.

Step 3 - Cut the twine to the length you want. Fold the twine in half and feed the folded end through the hole in the leaf. Then pull the two cut ends between the loop made by the folded twine.

Step 4 - Embellish the paper leaves with rhinestones, stamps or any other decorative item of your choice.

Step 5 - Tie the tags around your American Home™ by Yankee Candle® or other pieces of decoration to add extra Fall flare!

The tags were the perfect addition to the candles and helped them tie in with the rustic Fall items I used in the tablescape. When I was shopping for Fall candles I knew I wanted the rich fragrance of Homemade Pumpkin Pie because the fragrance screams Fall to me and being able to grab American Home™ by Yankee Candle® candles at Walmart is so convenient! I think I literally stood opening and smelling all of the candles for thirty minutes on my lunch break before I realized I needed to get my butt moving or I was going to be late back to work. Picking the perfect fragrance is always a challenge because I want it to set the mood. Once I opened Bountiful Harvest I knew it paired perfectly with Homemade Pumpkin Pie and I would be able to burn them together or separate without them clashing.

I made the pallet board runner out of four pallet boards secured together with a few smaller boards underneath. I use this runner for photos but decided it would make the perfect table runner this Fall since it screams rustic. I picked up some fake flowers, a tea towel, a couple of pumpkins and a placemat at Walmart the day I purchased the candles to add to the look. Once I paired the old and new together I fell in love. Walking through the dining room is a new experience.

Now if only my kids would keep their pesky little hands off of everything I would be one happy momma. My two year old was up to the table messing with my coveted aqua Ree Drumond Pioneer Woman plates and my three year old was literally sitting on the table pulling the lids off of the candles trying to smell them over and over.

If blogs had smell-o-vision you would be in Fall bliss right now. Between the colors, the pumpkins, the textures and the fragrances circling the room I am instantly relaxed.

  1. I absolutely adore the wooden palette centerpiece- I've also seen some similar lazy susans made from a reclaimed wine barrel lid- this reminds me of. Simply gorgeous! #client
