Entryway Reveal – All about the Sauder Bench

I am excited to be revealing our entryway today! It’s all about that bench, ‘bout that bench as Meghan Trainor would say. Most of the places we have lived have not had a designated entryway and as soon as you opened the front door you were standing smack dab in the living room. I always tried to create an inviting entryway area with coat hooks or a rug but I was never very successful. When I made it all about a white Sauder bench I nailed it!

I used the wall right next to our front door and then styled the bench by adding a few fun things on top of it and hanging above it. I used an old rake as a key//clutch holder and also hung a fun print and coat hook. The bench is perfect for sitting down to put your shoes on and the white goes perfectly with the white trim and dark floors we have.

I used a wooden box a toy came in as a magazine holder and made a pillow that says Hey Y’all in true Southern fashion. My style is vintage with a love for fun fonts and pops of color so the whole space screams my name.

When everyone came over for Easter last week I loved that there was a place for everyone to set their purses and take off their shoes. The bench is the main part of this little area and makes such a statement because of the spindle legs, pop of white and to top it off it adds functionality. Adding the bench has changed the whole flow and feel of our house from the second you open the front door. It feels warmer and more inviting.

To see what the living room looked like before you can see it HERE. We have hooks by our back door for the kids to keep their book bags and lunch boxes so I also love that the front is always free of extra clutter and chaos.

To see how other amazing bloggers styled the same bench visit the Sauder Style Lab and to see lots of fabulous inspiration on home décor visit the Sauder Look Book. I spent more time than I would like to admit looking trough the Look Book and finding inspiration!
