Delilah’s 1st Birthday Party – Pink and Gold Party

Over this past weekend we hosted my son Wyatt’s 6th birthday party and I realized I had never shared pictures from Delilah’s 1st birthday party. We hosted her 1st Pink and Gold party at our home.

The theme for her party was pink and gold and it was so easy to put together a party using just colors! It was a small gathering with just family and a few close friends.

Pink & Gold Birthday Party - Smash Cake Pink and Gold Birthday Party Since November is a busy month for me in the I bought the cakes and subs from Publix. I was so happy with how the cakes turned out and as always their cakes are delicious! I whipped up a double batch of pasta salad and ordered cake pops from a friend as the party favors.

For the decorations I kept it easy with a few balloons, a glittery gold garland I made using my Silhouette Cameo, a chalkboard print had printed at Staples as an engineer print (cost me less than $3), and a display of instagram pictures from each month up until Delilah’s birthday.

One of my favorite parts of Delilah’s party was when she opened a Cabbage Patch Doll that she received as a gift from my parents and started kissing it! Most of all I loved watching her tear that smash cake UP! That girl can get down on some cake!!

This little lady has changed my life and taught me so many things already – I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Honestly I can't remember. I asked for a smash cake size at the bakery and I think they said this was a 6 inch cake. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and this is how it turned out :)

Hi! How did you go about getting the chalkboard printed at Staples? Is that a service they all have? Thank you!

I made the faux chalkboard print and then had it printed at Staple's as an engineer print. (They offer black and white prints at around $2-4 -- perfect for a chalkboard!) They have lots of these which you can customize on ETSY and have printed yourself :)
