I’m gearing up for Mason’s Wreck it Ralph birthday party this weekend and since I can’t share the details with you quite yet I though I would show you one project I finished up the other night. At the beginning of the week I posted on facebook that one of my secrets to keeping parties budget friendly was by purchasing the plates, cups, napkins and plastic silver wear at the dollar store. They have all of the different solid colors and way cheaper than most stores (especially the party stores).
I was inspired to make this silver wear after seeing wooden utensils embellished with washi tape around ETSY and Pinterest. To make the silver wear I took some of my washi tape that I purchased on Pick Your Plum a few weeks ago and tore off strips a few inches long. I applied the tape to the handles and wrapped the edges around the sides. It was super easy and I did it while catching up on my recorded Real Housewives episodes!
I also purchased the favor bags on Pick Your Plum and the silver wear and napkin nestled perfectly inside! I made some silver wear with silver wear printed washi for my husbands 30th birthday next month too. Shhhh… it is a surprise!
