Christmas Treat Bags and a Smarties Giveaway

I love that my boys are in school now and I get to think up unique ideas for holiday treats they can take to their class. The boys are having a Christmas party at school on Tuesday so I wanted to think up something fun, festive and easy. Treat bags filled with Christmas candy sounded like the perfect thing!

For these treat bags I used red and white striped bags, stamped kraft tags, leftover ribbon and then I filled the bags with Smarties. You can find Smarties at Walmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree or my favorite store of all times – Target!

I tucked the candies into the bags, folded over the top and tucked the tag in between the fold. Then I placed a piece of ribbon over the fold and sewed it shut. To finish the bags I took a lighter to the two ends of the ribbon and melted them so they wouldn’t fray.

The boys are really excited to take their treat bags on Tuesday. That is all they have talked about the past few days.
