I am (sort of) hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house this year, so I wanted to make something cute for the place settings. Since I knew that we would either HAVE a new baby or BE HAVING one at any moment I asked my family in early October if they would want to bring the food to us. (wink, wink) I’m still going to clean the house, host the meal and make a side dish or two but I would rather do that than drive around from house to house with a newborn or severely pregnant belly. Everyone agreed to come here so my side and Mike’s side of the family are going to bring the main dishes, a turkey and a ham, and some other sides/desserts. Since I am getting off pretty easy I at least wanted to make things pretty. I used some things I had on hand and items from Le Box Boutique (one of my favorite ETSY shops!!) to create place setting boxes filled with after dinner mints.

To make these I gathered all of my supplies:
- pumpkin stamp
- stamp ink
- 2x2x2 kraft boxes
- mini clothespins
- leaf gems
- washi tape
- kraft tags
- twine
I stamped a pumpkin onto the lid of each box and then folded them. I wrote the name of my guests on the kraft tags and embellished them with a leaf gem. Then I attached the tags using twine and a clothespin. The final part was to add a strip of washi to the front of each box and fill them with the dinner mints!

They turned out better than I imagined and I know that they will add the perfect touch to our Thanksgiving table!![]()

So cute!! I love the little pumpkin stamp. Perfect addition! Your family will definitely appreciate the special touch.
ReplyDeleteI hope you little sugar makes it in time for Thanksgiving! That way you can sit on the couch all day and hold her while everyone else does the work. How many chances to do that does one gal get in her life?? :)
Thanks for the sweet comment Emily! :)
