Prepping for Baby and Pregnancy Update–38 weeks

Well last Thursday marked 38 weeks meaning today I am 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant with this little turkey in my belly. I say turkey because my due date is on Thanksgiving. I spent most of the weekend prepping for her arrival. I mopped floors, cleaned bathrooms, went on a grocery shopping trip to Walmart (which you can see here!), made lists, made more lists, repacked my hospital bags and tried to get as much done as possible.

I packed my hospital bags a few weeks ago along with clothes for the boys because they will be staying with my in-laws and/or parents for a few days while we are at the hospital. This weekend I double checked my bags and put all of the baby’s and my things by the door.

The crib is ready and I finished the rag quilt blanket I was making. We are stocked up on Huggies diapers (because we are sort of Huggies snobs if you can’t tell by the picture below and only used those with the boys). Whenever I receive a baby shower invite I always throw in a pack of Huggies and seriously was never able to find another brand that compared to them. We tried a few other brands but they could never withstand the nighttime test and we would wake up to our boys crying because they had leaked through onto their bedding.

All of her clothes and burp clothes are washed and put away. The bouncer seat and swing are in working order and I even took the time to create a gift box (full post coming soon) to give my husband while we are at the hospital. I thought it would be super funny to create a Daddy’s Doody Diaper Kit with some diapers since he was the one to change the boys’ first dirty diapers in the hospital and my plans are for him to clean Delilah’s first dirty diaper too! Shhh… let’s keep it a secret for now {wink, wink}.
