Today my awesome sponsor Jodi from Talking Twine and Trim is joining me on the blog to tell us a little bit about her shop! She opened her shop about a year and a half ago and it has been growing ever since!
Hi, my name is Jodi and I am the owner of a little ETSY shop by the name of Talking Twine and Trim. I started this shop with just 14 colors of bakers twine and a bit of chipboard. Today featured in the shop are 22 colors of twine, most of them wound on tags, but a few are on the old sewing mannequins that I featured from the very beginning. My bakers twine comes in many different lengths (2 yds, 5 yds, and 10 yds) or customize it to what you want by shooting me a convo message. Better yet, if you want just a couple of colors and need a bunch - order up a full spool with 240 yards wound on a cardboard spool at a really fair price!
I love the bakers twine. A "cheap" little way to package anything up, a pop of color on a layout, the perfect way to attach a tag to anything, and a fun little embellishment to an invitation or card.
Soon after opening it was time to add in some other colorful goodness to the shop. Seam binding with its vintage feel seemed to be the perfect addition, so cuts of 5 yards of hand scrunched seam binding were added. Perfect for tag toppers and shabby chic projects. Some are hand dyed others just scrunched. Last month brought on the first ‘dollar sale’ of seam binding. When my spools get close to the end or I don't feel like the colors is a good match for the twine it lands in the dollar bin and it is a great deal. 3 yards for a buck and you can buy several colors!
Buttons and lace are trimmings that I am slowing adding.
Treat bags and straws are the latest but not the last edition at Talking Twine and Trim (washi tape, handmade tags, stickers, and cute little decorative cello bags are next but…. shhhhhhh!) I love the newest addition of items. Plaid bags, striped and polka dot straws are perfect little touches to a backyard picnic, baby shower, birthday party or Halloween party.......HINT.
To be the first to know about Jodi’s extra special sales (and NEW ITEMS) be sure to follow her on Facebook for the latest and greatest or stop over to her shop and see all of the lovely packaging goodies for yourself! I frequent Jodi’s shop often and keep going back because her prices are so fair!
