I pin lots and lots of sweets and scrumptious looking dishes on Pinterest. I often find myself salivating over pictures of bacon or chocolate. I rummage through my pantry to see if I have all of the ingredients or while making my grocery list I think of that one thing I recently pinned and am dying to make! It really has inspired me to try new things (okay so most of them are sweets which I should just avoid at all costs – I have one more pound to loose to reach my goal weight!)
Here are some things I have tried and my honest opinion – the good and the not so good!
Homemade Reese’s from Sweetest Kitchen
This was my version – MOST DELICIOUS. I had four in the fridge on the very top shelf and they suddenly disappeared? Culprit? (I think it was the hubs!!)

Cinnamon Roll Cake by Cooking Up North
Also good and super easy! It is so yummy right out of the oven or just pop it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and it is great!
Sorry that I don’t have a picture of my version for this one. It disappeared too fast!

Nutella Ferrero Roche cupcake by F***. Yeah. Cupcakes
I could not find a recipe for this so I winged it. They were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I’M TALKING GIVE ME THIS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE – I CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT YOU BELOVED CUPCAKE!
Stand by as I will be posting my version of this recipe VERY soon! My version below!

Cheddar Bacon Pull Apart Bread by Plain Chicken
Another A++! Everyone approved. The kids were pulling out gobs of bread and stuffing in their faces. I can’t say that the hubs and I weren’t doing the same! It was like a race to see who could eat the most.
My trial below!

Jalapeno Popper Grilled Cheese by Closet Cooking
Another amazing trial. I wish I had extra time to make myself one of these everyday. Though I’m not sure my stomach would agree! My cheesy sandwich is below. The day I made this I also had some pepper jack cheese I mixed in with the cream cheese.

Ham and Cheese Sliders by the Girl Who Ate Everything.
These were another winner. This is the perfect recipe for using up leftover holiday ham.

Nutella Cookies by Tasty Kitchen
I found the picture above on Pinterest. It said there were only four ingredients, so a night when I was craving something sweet I whipped them up. I thought my husband would really love them because he loves Nutella. To tell the honest truth here – I won’t make them again. They tasted kind of blah and had a weird texture.
Sorry Nutella cookies – I’m saving my Nutella for another occasion.
Have you tried any recipes from your pins? What was the good/bad/ugly?
You can find me on Pinterest HERE.
Enjoy,
