I have two vintage windows from the 1920s I found on Craigslist for $5 a piece. They were for sale in the same town that my mother-in-law lives (35 minutes from me), so I asked her to pick them up. The lady who was selling them said they were original windows to her home built in the 1920s. They had just bought new windows and she hated to see the old windows go to the trash. *Do not fear – for I am here!*
You may be wondering what I see in the old dusty things. They remind me of the windows we had on our enclosed porch in my childhood home. The enclosed porch that was our play room and was filled with toys. The very same room where I spent countless hours of my childhood playing ‘store’ from the front window.
So now I have the windows and the dilemma is making something out of them. I have seen so many cool ideas that I just can’t decide. Here are some inspiration windows I have seen.
Well those are just a few ideas I took into consideration. I think I have come up with a master plan and since I want to have at least one window finished by Easter – I hope to share the finished product with you later in the week. I’ll keep you posted on the progress!
