The Toy Story Birthday Party!

Well the party was last weekend and boy was it a great turn out. There were only a few people that were not able to make it. The house was full and seats were scarce. Wyatt turned 2 1/2 and Mason turned 1. (Wyatt’s birthday is on December 25th, so we decided to hold off on his birthday so he didn’t get all his gifts at once!)

I made the cake and for my second fondant cake I am very proud of myself. Note- I taught myself and have never had any formal training unless you count watching Ace of Cakes and Cake Boss :) I wish I could say that I sculpted Buzz, Woody, Rex, and the potato head pieces, but those are actually figurines and parts to Mr. Potato Head I grabbed from the Toy Box.

Mason who turned 1 enjoyed the cake…

and Wyatt just wanted to play with all of his Thomas the Train toys. It was so funny that after his first toy he didn’t want to open any more!!

The boys really made out. They got tons of toys, clothes, a swing set, and a sand box. Now they have their very own little playground in the back yard. Now I just hope that the black snake who made a home near our patio door finds a new hang out! It has been out there 3 times in the past 2 days and I HATE HATE HATE snakes!!!! They are part of Florida though – and it doesn’t help that we have a wooded lot behind and next to us.

Enough about that ugly snake- I wanted to share the ETSY items I bought for the party and a few things I made that are now offered in my ETSY shop. (Click on the images to be taken to the respective shops)

Blue and Green Birthday Banner

I made this banner above and added Toy Story stickers. You can now purchase your very own in my shop :) and I also sewed up this high chair banner below for my little birthday man.

Then I used green sand buckets personalized with each child’s name in blue vinyl to hold all of the party favors.

and included water bottles/sippy cups personalized for each child with polka dots and their first initial

I got the boot and hat hard candy suckers from Country Munchkins. They were super yummy in watermelon and everyone loved them!

Then I purchased these stickers which are going to go on the Thank You envelopes when I send them out.

The party was a success and I can’t wait to plan the next one. Wyatt currently has an extreme Thomas the Train obsession so we may be having a Thomas party next!

Until next time…
